Hello fellow creative compassionate people, I've been doing guerrilla soup kitchens at the NSO located at MLK and Third in Detroit's Cass Corridor for a while now and we have experienced many friendly people who love to hang out and talk with us so we like to stay and socialize, network, help, whatever the experience brings for a while even after the food is gone and the clothing picked through.
I've been envisioning a social event where we show the love by sharing our arts and spend a little time, something that the residents of the streets and shelters in Detroit do not have an opportunity to experience and let it become a gathering of unity and strength in the community that we are all a part of.
I'm very excited about this event coming up powered by the Spacewalk Superhero energy and its all free to the homeless, so please come and perform if you can and have a hot dog with us. Food and seasonal clothing is also welcomed to offer.
The announcement:
UPR Detroit and Spacewalk is holding a soup kitchen and a variety show on the lawn across from the Neighborhood Service Organization located at 3430 Third at MLK in Detroit. http://www.nso-mi.org/services.php
Calling all artists, musicians, clowns and circus performers, actors, poets, rappers, performers of any kind, plus any practitioners of the healing arts such as massage therapy or reiki, barbers, nurses, anyone who has something to offer and friendly folks to help and socialize with us.
