    Hey Russell, it sure was great to have you visit our little corner of the world. Your bass playing is even more awesome than I remembered and that's saying something. For sure there will be some keepers from today's session. Too bad I didn't get any shots of the faces of those bass students when you let loose with those incredible solos! About me:

Russell B Jackson Russell Jackson was born in Memphis ,Tennessee and raised in Wichita Kansas. At the age of 25 this bass virtuoso had gained such a reputation that in 1979 he was invited to play with the great B.B. King Orchestra, where he stayed for the next 7 years. In 1986 Russell was admitted to the prestigious Dick Grove School of Music in Los Angeles where he studied both the acoustic and electric bass under the world renowned tutor Joel DiBartlo. In 1987, Russell was part of the highly acclaimed rhythm section known as Silent Partners and wrote the title track on the critically acclaimed debut album ' If It's All Night, It's All Right' on the Antones label in 1989. Russell toured and recorded with such blues greats as Charlie Musselwhite, Katie Webster, Matt Murphy, Kenny Neal, Luckey Peterson, Roy Gaines as well as headlining their own dates. After leaving Silent Partners in 1990, Russell relocated to Vancouver,B.C. where he formed The Russell Jackson Band. In 1991 the group recorded The Alley Man CD on the StoneBluz Label. In 1996, the music video Show Me The Door was released on the Bravo! Network in the U.S and Canada and is still being shown today. 1998 was an busy and exciting year for Russell finding time between tours to sit down and write his own distinct brand of Blues culminating with the release of the new album Becoming The Blues. The core members of The Russell Jackson Band, Russell Jackson and Theo Brown formed in 1992. *********************************************************** ..
