It is time we take our country back. We will take our country back with Barack Obama AS PRESIDENT. I think that either an Obama/Feingold or an Obama/Kerry ticket will win the White House for the Democrats. Also, we need more people like you and John Kerry in the Senate who will stand up for what's right and is not afraid to "fight the good fight".
Can't wait for you to filibuster this bill. Why are you the only one standing up? Thanks for all you do and if you ever need a campaigner in New Mexico...
Proud Wisconsinite lost in New Mexico, Kyle Freund
Thanks for the add, but this is only the beginning. With your help, we can get the truth out about the "Masters of Illusion and Deception who separate the masses from their money without accountability or prosecution!"
The next step is to please let your friends know about the book Wall Street doesn't want you to read. "Crazyman's Economics" exposes the fraud of the the stock market and commodities market and shows why they're the two greatest con games in US history!
Not only will you find out why 95% of all investors will lose money in the markets, you will also find out the REAL reason you are paying over $4.00 or more at the pump. It's not supply and demand, or OPEC, it's due to the OIL SPECULATORS IN THE COMMODITIES MARKET, and they are making fortunes at YOUR expense!
"Crazyman's Economics" exposes the myth that the markets are key to a strong economy and in fact, work against the average investor and consumer.
With your help, we can build a grassroots campaign to pressure Congress to enact REAL reforms to protect the retirement and 401k's of average Americans!
Join our mission, our financial future depends on it!
I wish you were my senator. Thank you for your efforts. I wish someone would filibuster this terrible bill. if I was in a senate I would filibuster until I passed out. I keep thinking maybe you guys know something I dont know. But then I remember the vote to march to war in iraq and how so many got it wrong. I believe it cost Hillary the nomination. Her one transgression to support invasion of a sovereign nation. Then I realize the bottom line. This marks the day that America has officially lost the war on terror. The day America is now terrorized not by Arab extremists but by our own government.
the truth is that our government uses far more oil than do the sum of all of our citizens. our government allows, has allowed, and continues to allow legislation that permits the oil companies to rig the "energy futures" market, and therefore is complicit in the fleecing of the American public.
the fact that the oil companies have, arguably, the strongest lobby across the board, who not only fund campaigns, legislation, and advertising, also line the pockets of our government members, actively fund negative votes on compromising bills, and consistently embed themselves amongst the policy makers themselves, is a blatant slap in the face to the average American who has to choose between putting food on the table or filling up the gas tank to go to work in the morning.
the oil companies have leases on all the oil necessary to alleviate the current situation we are in. The fact that they do not pump this oil is an act of pure price fixing. with the end in sight, or at least in the conversation of more and more people, it is no doubt that the oil companies will resort to nothing but the most nefarious and profitable resorts before the reality of what they ARE doing is finally covered by the media and they are held accountable.
fossil fuel based energy is, and has been, a solution with a definite timeline. as this timeline draws ever closer the United States falls farther and farther behind the technological race to attempt to alleviate the very obvious realization that WE WILL RUN OUT OF OUL IN OUR LIFETIME!
the oil reserves in the Middle East are at or past the 50% point and we need to be aware of the fact that bringing the last bit of oil to the surface is VERY difficult to do, in fact some say it is not worth it. with this knowledge we see that there is less than half of the oil "estimated" in the Middle East.
the idea of drilling off US shores is appealing to the shortsighted, uneducated blowhard that refuses to acknowledge the
This is what Senator Russ Feingold (D-WI) had to say about the “compromise”,
The proposed FISA deal is not a compromise; it is a capitulation. The House and Senate should not be taking up this bill, which effectively guarantees immunity for telecom companies alleged to have participated in the President’s illegal program, and which fails to protect the privacy of law-abiding Americans at home. Allowing courts to review the question of immunity is meaningless when the same legislation essentially requires the court to grant immunity. And under this bill, the government can still sweep up and keep the international communications of innocent Americans in the U.S. with no connection to suspected terrorists, with very few safeguards to protect against abuse of this power. Instead of cutting bad deals on both FISA and funding for the war in Iraq, Democrats should be standing up to the flawed and dangerous policies of this administration.
Keep up the good work, Russ. Though I have to wonder if you're the only person left in Washington fighting for our rights.
