One foot is firmly in the U.K dark side of the 80s with lashings of U.S rock. Catchy melodies, snakey bass and drum combos. The songs can move from light to dark in an instant.
Reviews:
"Russian Winters are the Aussie band to look out for in 2009"
(Juice Magazine - MALAYSIA)
“Another Chance is an absolute cracker. A bona fide dancefloor pop song..."
David Craddock (Xpress Mag)
“Packed full of incredibly tight pop…I feel guilty enjoying hooks this sweet. Russian Winters are doing it like they invented the genre…”
Jaymes Brown (Drum Media – Single Of The Week)
“Russian Winters rush from light to dark in a single song, injecting their catchy melodies with thought provoking lyrics and clever arrangements. Russian Winters are all class.”
(Xpress Mag)
"urbane enough to be soul, but with a booty-shaking core that is irresistibly pop."
"delicious indie-irony."
(J.C. Walker - Wheatbelt Mercury)
"there are speckles of The Cure everywhere – they’re just subtle."
"Catchy and uplifting, though not afraid to let a little darkness take over."
"Russian Winters are one of those pop bands that don’t make you feel like a total cock for saying you like pop music."
(Mike Wafer - Xpress)
