I like movies that are purposefully ambiguous and abstract and star Juliet Binoche. I like documentaries as long as they don’t try and convince me of anything.
Television
I would say, kill your television, but we can’t resort to violence to solve problems. Instead I say: bring in the UN and engage in diplomatic relations with your television. Don't resort to violence, talk it out with your television for pete's sake!
Books
Books are a marvelous way to show how smart you are.
Heroes
My heroes include the great progressive leaders of the Democratic Party such as: Woodrow Wilson who ended all wars by saving Democracy by winning WWI; humanitarians like FDR who gave free housing to Japanese Americans during WWII; Peace-makers like Harry S. Truman who was da bomb! and that other bomb or two; pacifists like JFK who may have at one point (after he tried to invade Cuba and before he was tragically assassinated) considered stopping the Vietnam war by not starting it.
And great liberal mavericks like him too! (The one on the right... side of the picture)
Hello there. My name is Russ Lieber and you probably know me from my syndicated liberal radio show "Lieber-Time" and my liberal morning zoo show, "Soy Milk with Russ Lieber" on WXQQ AM 510: "The Spot to Hear Things About Some Liberal Stuff on Your A.M. Dial"TM.

By the by, people often say I resemble a comedian named David Cross and some even ask me if I am related to him. Well I am not. I find his humor crude and far too radical to be part of any serious political discussion. In fact, this site is not affiliated or endorsed by David Cross in any way.
Really, I am not David Cross... but I might be underground hip-hop slashie (producer/MC) superstar EL-P (the one on the right side of the picture... and I am not).
This is my cousin “Rad” Russ A. Luxemburg. He also blogs here from time to time when he is not protesting out in the streets. Silly cousin, change comes from giving money to some lobbyist group like Moveon.org or a well phrased bumper sticker or a politically moral diet -- not organizing people of similar political goals and interests to make demands and work for the changes they desire! What a crazy idea!
When will people like my cousin ever learn that civil rights were won not through sit-ins and marches and protests against segregated businesses and institutions, it was won when people started affixing “Racist people suck” and “Question Segregation” bumper stickers to their cars?
Due to certain matters I can not discuss here, I have retained the services of a lawyer. He is one of the partners in the firm of Bucholz, Watkins, and Rainbow-Tree and also one of the founders of the “9/11 Fact Movement”.
Somehow, I am now legally bound to allow Mr. Rainbow-Tree to post blogs here from time to time about his nutty totally irrational conspiracy theories involving 9/11, George Bush, the JFK assassination, some missing socks, trans-fats, a contested grade he got in Law School, a tea cozy, the Illuminati, a secret subway system used by gnomes, and a late fee he was charged on a movie he doesn’t remember renting. What a crazy nutjob!
Who I'd like to meet: Other liberals who wish to discuss the horrid state of the nation with me (perhaps over some fair-trade coffee and soy milk creamer) so we can feel better about ourselves for our enlightened conversation. We could listen to some jazz as well (smooth preferably). We might even entertain ideas about what one might do to change the direction of the nation… we won’t act on these of course because having a point of view and fighting for it would make us no better than the very conservatives we oppose (...just not very actively or strongly).
I thought it might be fun to stir the proverbial pot of Acorn Squash Low-Fat Potato and Leek Soup by opening this site up to political questions and debate from my fans.
Simply message a political question to me and I will immediately tell one of my interns to do some research, find out what my likely answer might be, and then post the response. Who knows, I might even answer some of those questions myself by going onto wikipedia.

It all became unraveled when my wife subscribed to your blog almost a year ago (I think) and thought you were smart, outgoing and had a funny jew fro. :)
I am an animated TV series fanatic (prior Marine, OIF, and now can't fall asleep unless cartoons are on the TV, weird, I know) and I swore up and down that I spotted a guy just like you on Space Ghost Coast 2 Coast. Understand, I fall asleep to shuffled cartoons everynight (downloaded from the net) so I know my Adult Swim pretty well.
When I saw the episode of Aqua Teen Hunger Force titled "Bible Fruit" I noticed the bananna's voice was strikingly similar to a man named David Cross who I saw on Space Ghost.
Then when my wife had me reading your blogs I became confused even more!
My point is, you are NOT David Cross.
