About me: Rustik Productions originated in 1994 in the true “Twilight Zone” of the United States, Binghamton, New York. Inside the Minds of founders DJ PMC and DJ Plume, Rustik turned heads to bring fresh new DJ talent, production and sound to the scene at the time. Their love and interest for electronic dance music (EDM), helped establish a much respected NY production team with the idea in mind to promote and market events for a low budget door cover in this blue collar city.

And from this groove had belt drives in a dingy basement on the out skirts of the city pumping beats day and night. This was a legendary spot for many Upstate NY DJ’s to practice and mix loud. Many events were held at “the basement” turning the heads of the NY scene and other DJs and production crews who were throwing events regularly. The Rustik name spread quickly with a series of epic underground events thrown together last minute at very “Rustik” underground locations. After several events DJ PMC and DJ Plume had developed their own musical style, each with a unique sound was getting noticed in the upstate area.
By 1997, DJ Plume had developed an impeccable drum and bass sound and DJ PMC was playing out his high-energy peak hour disco house. Both PMC and Plume started playing regularly at Dose The Alien's world famous Bubble and throughout the world. The year 1999 had brought a collaboration project with Jimmy Samsara, DJ PMC and DJ Plume on 90.5 FM WHRW (Binghamton's college radio station) hosting a weekly radio show. To this day still known as one of the highest rated shows the station has seen! Teaming up with Boywonder’s Brainfroot Productions and hosting NY state's longest running weekly electronic music event every Sunday for over ten years called “Sunday Eve Chillout Sessions” (aka SECS); another free event in and around Binghamton NY that still is an industry phenomenon.
In 2000, DJ Plume started our sister company, Dream Research, our Drum and Bass sector with great DJs and talent. Dream Research started hosting its own Broken Beat events. With Dream research and Rustik throwing events, Rustik was a driving force in electronic music in NY. 2004 was a great year with the start up of Rustik Productions Records. 2005 had brought a move with Dream Research to Ashville, NC. Today with over 200 events on its belt at indoor and outdoor venues all over the East coast, large and small, in bars, clubs, arenas, all with one thing in mind - to bring you the best DJs and the freshest electronic dance music the industry has to offer for little or no cost to you.
We continue to throw our latest addition, a bi-weekly called “You Love Our House Saturdays”. Throughout the years, the Rustik Family has grown, departed and grown again. Today the Rustik DJ family is stronger and more excited than ever to push the industry standards in its events, productions and talent that this industry has to offer. Rustik’s full package of DJs, events, bookings and record label make it the complete electronic dance music company. Our years of knowledge and industry standards bring unique events to our area.
