Still gutted that I was just a couple of years too young to get into the Camden Palais all those years ago, especially when my sister harps on about how good that & Club for Heroes were, bugger! Anyways, take care, keep smiling & hope to see ya there again next year ;o)
Eric's opens for booking soon Another Liverpool icon comes under the spotlight in Eric’s, a new musical commissioned from Liverpool writer Mark Davies Markham (author of Taboo – The Boy George Musical). Eric’s will celebrate this musical hothouse of the late seventies and early eighties when The Clash, The Ramones and The Sex Pistols ignited a creative spark that fired a generation. Out of Eric’s came Teardrop Explodes, Echo and the Bunnymen, The Mighty Wah!, Big in Japan, OMD and Frankie Goes to Hollywood among many others. There could be only one venue to recreate this time, Liverpool’s other crucible of the counter-culture, the Everyman. Priority booking for Theatre First members opens 16 June while public booking opens 30 June.
HI RUSTY HOW ARE YOU? I HOPE YOU ARE OK. I HOPE THAT YOU WILL BE COMING 2 SCOTLAND SOMETIME AND DO SOME DJ THERE AS I WOULD LOVE 2 MEET YOU. TAKE CARE. LOTS OF LOVE MARIE XXXXXXXX
Thank you very much for the e-friendship. Are friends electric ? Or showroom dummies ? Me, I won't disconnect from you... Once upon a time, circa 1975, the european young people musical culture was divised between american vulgar rock and idiotic hippies rests. Then came the clash of punk, and amongst the post-punk figures, there was Rusty Egan ! Ladies and gentlemen, here's the man who brought Europe'soul back inside its musical pop culture. And who contributed to make Europe's charts european again, with the whole (new) wave of english hits - with "Fade to grey" opening the way - in all our western countries . Rusty ? This metal will never be.
thanx a lot for your honest opinion posted as a comment to one of my latest bulletins ! it's always very interesting to see for me , what people in the music biz - like u - think about certain things going on there ! ;-)
however ... have a hopefully great weekend & keep spinning the stuff "to make us move" ! ;-)
