RUTAH was formed the summer of 1999 in Spokane ,Wa. by Beau Clemons and Erik Loss . Influenced by extreme metal bands such as MORBID ANGEL, EMPEROR, and SLAYER, they set out to forge the old sounds of the best, with the brutality of today... Gaining more and more noteriety within the Northwest Death Metal/Black Metal scene , RUTAH has continued to play and tour the West Coast (and soon to be.. the Midwest and East Coast)non-stop over the last 2
years , playing with a variety of metal acts, both local , regional and international, including Incantation , Deicide, Vital Remains, Cryptopsy, Disgorge, AnalBlast , The Meatshits , Krisiun, Decapitated , Six Feet Under, Crematorium , Desolation, Mummification , Epicedium, Goat Whore , Decapitated , Sleep Terror, Estuary and many more; regionally and locally with such great acts as Splatterhouse , Skarp , Vulgerizer, Drawn and Quartered , Barefoot Barnacle, Necryptic , Tormentium, Among The Decayed ,
Cerimonial Castings, Doom Lit Sky, Melevolent , Keres, Sand ,Strigoi and the list goes on!
Lyrically inspired by the darker, more sinister elements of humanity,
the songs range from the unrest of our times to the hypocrisies of the
religious right. In the fall of 2003, RUTAH went through a lineup change,
replacing Beau Clemons for Cassidy Kleinman on drums and also adding Mark Pettit on lead guitar. Summer of 2005. And our newest addition, Shawn Striebel on lead guitar , adding a whole new demension to RUTAH which has continued to evolve and grow into what it is today ..a machine of hate and blasphemy. With new blood and
a will to destroy, RUTAH continues to divide and conquer!
