Hi there
I live in the beautiful Blue Mountains of NSW, Australia.
Love to paint in my home studio near the bush overlooking the Grose Valley. It's magic and a great inspiration.
I studied art at the National Art School in Sydney and later completed post graduate studies at the University of New South Wales. Painting and creating has always been the constant in my life.
I usually work with polymer paints on canvas sometimes adding mediums to the paints for different effects. Love playing with oil stick on canvas which is great fun as well as collage/mixed media work.
Some of the work that I create is quite large in size and some small. In the larger work I love the idea of the viewer being able to 'walk into' them. I always hope the viewer enjoys the energy and colour and how the eye can be taken on a jouney within the painting. When I paint I always consider that the process of painting is a conversation with the canvas and the evolving work being produced. The delight is if on seeing the painting the viewer establishes their own visual conversation with the painting, through this the viewer continues the magic of a continuum of communication with the work started during the painting process.
Highlights for me to date have been two solo exhibitions at Orange Regional Gallery; selected for the group exhibition 'Land out of Time' at Penrith Regional Gallery which then travelled to other regional galleries in Australia; solo exhibitions 'Burnt and Beyond' at Hunter Street Gallery, Parramatte, 'A Sense of Self, A Sense of Place' Sydney Town Art Gallery and 'Taking the Long Way' at Gallery HM Alexandria.

"The infinite sinuousness, nuance, and complexity of music enable it to speak in a thousand different accents to a thousand different listeners, and to say with non-commital and moving intimacy what no language would acknowledge or express and what no situations in life could completely exhuaust or make possible" (Irwin Edman) love f
