Ruth graduated from Berklee College of Music in 2002 with a degree in Music production and Engineering. She released 2 albums "How Can I Not" and "Live Unplugged at BCEC!" in the same year. Since then, she has built an extensive portfolio in the various arenas of pop music performance and production.
Her solo performance credits include "Pop Agenda@ Fort Canning Park" alongside regional artists Ryu and Tanya Chua, "Jazz Night at Southbridge - Speak Mandarin Campaign" alongside Singapore Idol judge Jacintha Abishganaden, "Mosaic Music Festival 2006 - Leading Jazz Ladies" at the esplanade alongside Cat Ong etc.
As a pianist, she has toured with artists Stefanie Sun and Sally Yeh and many others to USA, Taipei, Hong Kong, China, Japan, Thailand etc. She has also music directed Wan Fang, Yu Tai Yan and Yin Zheng Yang's Singapore concerts, as well as the 40th anniversary tribute to Zhou Xuan at the Esplanade Concert hall. She has accompanied singers from all genres including The Crystals, Eric Moo, Wendi Koh, Huang Shu Jun, Hong Shao Xuan, Aubrey Ng etc. as well as played for musicals and many christian events.
Ruth's songs can be found on the albums of Sandy Lam, Edison Chan and Denise Ho. Her arranging credits also include A-mei, S.H.E, Edison Chan, Jordan Chan and Project Lumeni.
Ruth is also a singer/songwriter/keyboardist/producer with her all-female band, Walking on Water. They have released their debut album "Into Our Faith" in Dec 2006, available at www.walkingonwaterband.com
Ruth is currently working on some of her original chinese pop material, to be released in 1st quarter of 2008. She is currently playing regularly at Indochine, Asian Civilisation Museum, RSVP restaurant at Park hotel as well as with the Wedding Harmony group.
