He mainly owes his fame to being the drummer in the now defunct ....The Devin Townsend Band.. (2002-2006), he also play's drums for his newly created metal band - ..Terror Syndrome.. and ..Ten Ways.. a progressive rock band formed by former DTB members Dave and Mike Young. Outside of the bands that Ryan plays for, he offers his services as a live or studio session drummer and teaches privately as well... ..He has done sessions for producers such as ..Brian Howes (Hinder, Puddle of Mud).., ..Chad Kroeger (Nickelback).., ..Rhys Fulber (Fear Factory).. among many more.....     New 2013 RVP Drumcam - "Grace" (Devin Townsend Project)

    Hey everyone, HAPPY NEW YEAR! Here's the first Drumcam of 2013. One of the more popular songs we play in our current set is a song called "Grace" off of our new album Epicloud. It's got some fun double bass patterns, some new added fills (that aren't on the album) that I use live as well. It's just an EPIC song overall. This was once again recorded with my Zoom Q3HD Camera Recorder. This tour we did with Fear Factory called The Epic Industrialist Tour was an amazing time. We co-Headlined it and had a blast for 8 weeks in Europe and the UK. The shows were amazing and the UK proved once again why they have some of the best crowds on the planet. We love playing there. This drum cam was filmed in Wolverhampton, UK. It was another great show and I don't mind this take of 'Grace'. So here it is, "Grace", the first Drumcam of 2013 from RVP! Ryan Van Poederooyen is a young and ambitious drummer from Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
