Ryan Van Poederooyen is a young and ambitious drummer from Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. He mainly owes his fame to being the drummer in The Devin Townsend Band, he also play's drums for his newly created metal band - Terror Syndrome. Outside of the bands that Ryan plays for, he offers his services as a live or studio session drummer and teaches privately as well.
He has done sessions for producers such as Brian Howes (Hinder, Puddle of Mud), Chad Kroeger (Nickelback), Rhys Fulber (Fear Factory) among many more..... In the last few years, he has performed on many studio albums, to mention a few - Faber Drive (Universal Records, 2007)Christoffer Malmström's (Darkane) solo project named Non-Human Level (Listenable records, 2006), and the progressive rock album Oniric Metal by Lalu (Lion Music, 2005), among a large list of other albums released through labels and independently.
Currently, Ryan just released Terror Syndrome's debut album world-wide on July 10th, 2008. Ryan recorded the drums, wrote all the music and produced the record. Terror Syndromefeatures an impressive list of collaborators, ranging from members of The Devin Townsend Band (and Devin Townsend himself), to Alex Skolnick (Testament), Trevor Dunn (Mr. Bungle),Byron Stroud (Fear Factory) among some other great names.

yes, i have heard the full album, and I LOVE IT!!! :) i would think the completion of the album would be bittersweet; on one hand, youre glad that its finished, but on the other hand, you wish you were still in the process of making it. im sure youve been asked left and right when its going to be done. what comes next for all of you? any tours planned? hmmm... coming to MD, by chance? :P
