Motorcycles. Autocrossing with Redwood Sports Car Club. Music: playing guitar, drumming, singing. Road trips anywhere. Letterpress printing. Gardening, yoga, driving, relaxing, cooking, dancing, travel, reading. I'd like to be in the Blue Man Group someday, or to sing with a chorus that is recording music for a major motion picture.

Matrix trilogy, The Lord of the Rings trilogy, Advent Children (Final Fantasy VII), Appleseed (anime), Initial D series, Thomas Crown Affair (remake), Shakespeare in Love, The Italian Job (remake), Croupier, Kinky Boots, Wallace & Gromit "The Curse of the Wererabbit", Finding Nemo, The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe, Over the Hedge (great commentary on suburbia), West Side Story (old but timeless)
Television
I don't watch tv but have seen some of Married with Children and Mind of Mencia on dvd and YouTube. Other: Top Gear, The Simpsons, Animal Planet, any National Geographic show.
Books
The Solace of Leaving Early, by Haven Kimmel. The Lost Painting, by Jonathan Harr. Shantaram, by Gregory David Roberts. An incredible read. Angle of Repose (anything by Stegner, really). Anything by Shakespeare. The Four Agreements, The Tao te Ching, The Time Traveler's Wife, anything by Ivan Doig, Sherman Alexie, David James Duncan, William Kittredge, Gretel Ehrlich, Louise Erdrich…
Heroes
My grandmothers Brik and Greta, my mom and stepdad, my daughter, my beloved Tony, my brother James, Thich Nhat Hanh, His Holiness the Dalai Lama; anyone who is working toward being more compassionate and understanding in their life
About me:
Forty-something mother of one. No, the bike and the convertible are not a mid-life crisis! Just reconnecting with things I liked to do back in my teens and twenties. It's great to again have someone to share those things with.
I am pretty addicted to riding my Ninja EX500; sometimes I have to sneak a ride down the road, just to get the rush that comes from riding a motorcycle. (May be a not-so-subtle substitute for not having my convertible all summer.)
I'm a member of Redwood Sports Car Club, but have missed most of our autocross events this year due to lack of car (my car was slammed into back in April by a woman running a red light). Hopefully that will be resolved soon.
Just trying to live my life mindfully with some fun thrown in...
Who I'd like to meet: His Holiness the Dalai Lama. Geoff Tate, Ann and Nancy Wilson, Weird Al, Andrea Bocelli. Anyone living life from their heart, working with all that they are in order to become the best they can be. Anyone interested in sports cars and autocross. Women who ride motorcycles (women who ride, rock!).
Hello to my favorite sister in law (soon to be). Just stopping by to check up on you. Hope you guys are doing well. My big baby is in Alaska (for work) as we speak, so I’m sad and missing him already. The little baby is doing well. I have to tell you a funny story about him (from last Saturday). I’m on bed rest for the next week, with pinched nerve in my lower back. Thank God for meds, is all I can say. Let me know how you are doing. Much love, Me
Wish you guys were here, with us. We have almost 4 inches of snow and it is still dumping. It’s the prettiest sight ever! The kids would love to play in the snow. We miss you guys! Love, US!
We are finally done with our taxes! YAAAY!!! Thank you so much for checking in with me first regards to the pictures. You are very thoughtful and that’s just one more virtue of yours I love about you. Hope you have a great night. Kiss Eden for me and tell her that we already miss her :-(
Liz, thank you MUCHO for the birthday comment. Thank you for the wonderful birthday presents and Destructo's gift, too. It was amazing meeting you and the little beauty of yours! All of us enjoyed having you guys over and can't wait to see you again. We miss you already. It's too quiet in the house ... Love you!
