Already having tasted success with the branding and developing of Canada's largest, and most successful house/dance (and proudly independent) label to date- Popular Records Inc. (which was sold to EMI Canada in 2002, a transition that ry2K saw through). In 2005, the decision was made to start P10/DOM- no better time to rewrite history. Circa '06 the partners are found- Beckstein and TDB. The dawn of a new era has begun!
As partner in Popular Records, he was instrumental in the signing, breaking, and marketing of several gold/multi platinum artists (including Eiffel 65, Darude, ATB, Tim Deluxe to name a few), while performing all marketing, advertising, design/creative aspects of the label. He has also developed many successful compilation series. The results? Sales in the multi-millions. In his earlier years, as an employee of Quality Records, ry2K worked with projects that were integral to the early days of the genre- 2 Unlimited, Josh Wink (Higher State Of Consciousness), The Bucketheads (These Sounds Fall Into My Mind), Armand Van Helden (The Witchdoktor)..... the list goes on.
At the current; the focus is on the collaborative outfit The Angry Kids, alongside bandmates TDB and Beckstein. The first single "I Ran (So Far Away)" featured retro staples A Flock of Seagulls. The follow-up....takes things to new heights....Mr. Brown features vocals by the legendary Bob Marley, remixes from conspirators Dylan Rhymes & Kaje, as well as a quirky animated video.
