Ryan Bourne is a prolific singer/songwriter/guitarist offering an explosive pop form that connects the dots between unabashed songcraft and the outer limits of psychedelic rock . Bourne’s explorations in rock and roll music began with beloved Calgary group Interstellar Root Cellar, with whom he released one album and performed to sold out rooms across western Canada, shairing bills with soul-punk legends Fishbone, Canadian icons 54-40, the Headstones, the Shuffle Demons, and the Philosopher Kings (to name a few) along the way. He has been a creative local mainstay, as has traveled extensively, performing/recording as far abroad as Dharmasala, India, the Andaman islands, and (closer to home) Boston and Manhattan. Ryan is currently performing his music as a 4-piece that features Eric Hamelin (Chad Van Gaalen, nomoreshapes), Steve Fletcher (Michael Bernard Fitzgerald, Woodpigeon). Ryan’s debut album, ‘Supermodern World Of Beauty’, is a sprawling psychedelic pop gem produced by Jay Crocker (Ghostkeeper, nomoreshapes) at Calgary based Artunit Studios, soon to be released on May 11, 2010 on Saved By Radio. ..
