I am a keyboardist/composer/teacher based in Seattle, WA. I teach at University of Puget Sound and Seattle Drum School. Some past and present projects I've been involved with include Harrybu McCage, 17th Chapter, Matt Jorgenson +451, Tom Marriott’s Willie Nelson Project, Katherine Moore Situation, The Black Vinyl All-Stars, Bebop and Destruction, Being John McLaughlin, Live Evil, Skagit Valley Mafia, Geoff Cooke Quintet, BMW Trio, and Steinwagon.
I've released three acoustic piano trio CD’s as a composer/bandleader, most recently "Ryan Burns Trio- Live at the LAB" (Odd Bird Records 2008) with bassist Jeff Johnson and drummer Tad Britton. Also recently, “Tree-O” (Odd Bird Records 2007) with bassist Geoff Cooke and drummer Jose Martinez. I enjoy the classic piano trio, but I also love playing keyboards, especially analog. Rhodes, hammond, and moog have been my main axes lately.
I'm doing an upgrade on some of the tracks I have on this myspace page. I just got done laying down some new tracks for Weakness. I gave the song a 2 guitar a piano some sound effects and backing vocals. I'd like to get as much input from as many of you out there as I can before I go on to the next song!
