Angela Dimmick - Violin.
Ryan Shermer - Cello.
Me - Guitar/Vocals.
Influences
Everything...my ipod just played a random mix of Keb Mo, Dave Matthews, Tool, Dave Brubeck, Damien Rice, Death Cab for Cutie, Pearl Jam Arcade Fire, System of a Down, Pink Floyd, Eric Clapton, Wilco, Counting Crows, Jack Johnson and Jay-Z. I've also had the privledge of working with an endless list of taletend people/groups - my dad, my step-father, my brother, Angela Dimmick, Ryan Shermer, Jeff Campbell, Jeremy Olsen, Mark Nygard, The Mayan Factor, Jim Noland, Steve Lafashia - Jealousy Curve, Gringo Motel, Mike Baker, Chris Dougherty, Erin Mclellan, Jen Nygard, Rich Kennedy, Chris Nygard, Mark Mol, Sean Hoots, Mike Powers, Jamie Cawley, The Lonesome Killers, to name a few....
Sounds Like
Nobody... I'm influenced by every musician I've ever heard but I hope I have my own sound.
I've never been much good at writing these things. I guess I'm supposed to say how things got started, or what I've accomplished so far, or...I don't know, I told you, I'm not good at this. And I'm not really into to talking my up myself, either - it's just not me. But the truth is, there's a billion people out there just like me, so I guess I gotta learn to speak up if I'm gonna get anywhere.
So, about me - I play music, it's what I do. I grew up with it. I got away from playing for a while but it's just who I am. I grew up playing drums, since about 3, I think - I'm twenty-something, so do the math. Eventually, I taught myself piano, learned a few chords on guitar and somewhere along the way, found out that I had a decent voice too. I put some songs together, and recorded them. They sounded ok, but they were definately missing something.
Just so happens, my girlfreind is a violinist, and a freind of ours is a cellist. So in come, Ryan and Angela - both classically trained, exceptional string players, with countless years of schooling and experience between them.
That's about it...I'll let you do what you came here to do...listen. If you like it, let me know. And, if you don't, well, I guess you can't please everyone.
