this page has been put up for anyone who was curious as to what else ryan's hope has recorded in the past. before 2004's "the trials of recession" and 2006's "apocalypse in increments," we recorded a handful of homemade demos and 2 eps, and the intent of this page is to share that music with you.
we started in april of 2002, the same month that our close friend ryan mcCarrol was killed in a tragic car accident. so a lot of the lyrical content of the early material dealt with our loss.
"a change in everything" (which you'll find on this page) is the first song we created as ryan's hope.
our first release is called "weighing what matters" and we released it in october 2002. in 2003, we put out "each place i hide" both of which were recorded at the bombshelter studio, in chicago.
eventually we will have both these eps available for download in their entireties, but for now this should give you a taste of the older ryan's hope stuff!
check back frequently please, as we will post everything from photos of the early years, to the "not so easy on the ears" demos that got us up and rolling.
