About me: first off i'm a native american artist, Dine'(Navajo) to be exact. i am a proud father of my 4 year old son (colin). he made me very proud, the first time he drew his own train while we were having breakfast at IHOP...my artistic talent began it's course at the age of 4. i began drawing members of the band KISS. unknowingly inspired by their music i started drawing gene simmons spitting up blood and blowing fire. i remember drawing a 3 foot gene simmons on our white front door of our house. and i remember getting my ass kicked by my dad and cleaning it the rest of the day. and i distinctly remember deciding that i want to do art for the rest of my life. i thought, "if i can make an impact like that on someone, maybe my art WILL take me places."
now i live in a town called maricopa, it's just right outside of chandler. where i do art full-time and just took a break from school when i was getting close to graduating because i was working on illustrations for a book which came out July of 2007. the book is titled: "Johonaa'ei: Bringer of Dawn", (a Navajo Children's book). the book will be available from Salina Bookshelf, a publishing company in Flagstaff, Arizona which specializes in Navajo education. they have a pretty nifty website too at: salinabookshelf.com
Who I'd like to meet: ...people who; drink coffee, collect records, collect toys, collect scars on their bodies, collect parachute pants, listen to all genres of punk rock, are into science fiction, and who understand art as a passion for revealing the deepest human emotions but not neccesarily the person who made it...because you never will.
