Radio Salamandra is the Musical project, Soul, and Voice of Salamandra, a unique artist born in Barcelona and currently living in Israel. ***|*** For long years he has been zapping around from city to city, from dream to dream, through different professional occupations and aspirations. At the age of 30, he finally saw the light -or, should we rather say, he heard the sound-. Someone put a microphone in front of him to record some of his earliest songs, and from that day on, nothing would be the same: Salamandra had born. ***|*** After recording some songs in Barcelona with Marc Antoli, he took a plane to Buenos Aires and came back to Europe 3 months later with a 10 tracks album called… Buenos Aires. Then, he decided to move to Israel, for the second time in his life, and create music for the world from the Holly Land. In Tel-Aviv, Salamandra started to perform, first acoustic, and later on with a band. Through jamming, performing and recording, a new concept was born: Radio Salamandra. ***|*** Salamandra’s music is influenced by Rock, Reggae, Folk, Klezmer, Pop, Swing and World music. The stories are told in Hebrew, English, Spanish, Catalan, French… “This world feels like Babylon, and in Babylonian we shall sing.” ***|*** Rock in Babylon is the result of a period of growth and struggle, freedom and commitment. It is a selection of the most significant tracks recorded by Radio Salamandra. ***|*** Enjoy…
