Do you ever wonder where all the great rock bands have gone? Not the good bands the GREAT bands, Rock bands that is. You ever long for the type of band that makes you wanna shout, scream, jump up in the air and throw things out of the window! A band that makes you want to put your middle finger up whose choruses just keep going round and round in your head, that when they’re playing you make your friends jealous if you can see them and they can’t? SABATTA are that band.
Background
Formed in 2005, The band consists of Yinka – Vocals, Hugo – Bass and Oli – Drums. Sabatta’s music mixes old and new – mashing together classic 70's rock vibes with a modern edge; scorching riffs with soaring vocals and excellent songwriting - they call it STREET ROCK! Already drawing comparisons to Hendrix and Lenny Kravitz, Sabatta’s diverse influences also include QOTSA, RATM, Metallica and Guns ‘n’ Roses. Yinka even draws on his Nigerian roots within his guitar style adding a twist to his frenetic lead playing!

Feb 08 - METAL HAMMER profiled SABATTA comparing them to Nirvana and stating “Yinka’s awesomely expressive timbre gives this power trio a distinctive sound above other rock acts. They have an awesome stage presence, catchy vocal melodies and are becoming one of London’s hottest new bands!”
Jan 08 - KERRANG reviewed the band live @ Camden’s purple Turtle giving them 4 Ks!!(and they weren’t even there to see SABATTA): "Sabatta may look like the Jimi Hendrix Experience - black, ultra-confident, bare-chested, wildly soloing frontman, but their garage blues comes across as a male fronted Bellrays. Messy, over-driven and raucous, there's a spirit of abandon that shines through!"
2007 ROCK SOUND magazine said “get on the case fast – before the rest of humanity starts raving about them”!
Sabatta appeared TOTAL ROCK RADIO on Malcolm Dome’s show for an hour long feature; he said they were - “the best new band I’ve heard in years”!
They have done a session on RESONANCE 104.4 FM where Art Terry said “Yinka’s the hottest guitar player in London”!
ROCK MIDGETS.COM said “it's clear this band destined for bigger and brighter things”!
Currently on tour in the UK, SABATTA are recording for a new LP release scheduled for summer 08.
