Sabbath Bloody Sabbath is a UK based Black Sabbath tribute band. The band has been going since 1997, with the occasional personnel change, finally settling on this line-up in 2004.
The line up is: Ashley - vocals; Peter - guitar; Rob - drums; Grant - bass
As a band, Sabbath Bloody Sabbath doesn't go in for the whole look-alike/pretending-to-be-the-real-band angle, it's just all about the music and making sure everyone has a damn good time!!
The band's repertoire is a solid mix of Ozzy-era Black Sabbath's songs, from the best-known - 'War Pigs', 'Black Sabbath' and the obligatory 'Paranoid' - to some of the more obscure album tracks that Black Sabbath rarely perform themselves these days - 'Under The Sun', 'Sabbara Cadabra' and 'Tomorrow's Dream'.
Sabbath Bloody Sabbath has played venues all over England and Wales, occasionally venturing into Scotland and Ireland, and has never failed to get an audience up and on its feet. They have also played gigs with bands such as Motörhead, Blaze (Blaze Bailey, Ex-Iron Maiden), and M3 (Classic Whitesnake).
Original Black Sabbath drummer Bill Ward was recently shown a video clip of the band and sent a message to the band saying "good job and keep up the cool rocking"
So, here's to you Tony, Ozzy, Geezer and Bill - thanks for sharing your music with us, and we hope we do you proud!!!
