Sounds Like
Big blues showband with harp and horns. SA Blue Cats does an acoustic set reminiscent of the 20s and 30s blues recordings, 40s, 50s and 60s traditional electric blues and a rock blues set of more contemporary artists. We play all styles of blues.
Starting in 2005 as the concept of Mike Davis, the S.A. Blue Cats were formed as an independent working band with the initial task of running jams and fund raisers for the San Antonio Blues Society. The band evolved into a combo which displays all forms of blues and blues influenced music. The band is multi-instrumental featuring horns, harmonica, all styles of resonator and electric guitars, mandolin and accordion.
Member band of The San Antonio Blues Society since 2005.

Thanks for the add guys. Mostly thank you for keeping the Blues and live music alive in San Antonio. I really enjoyed the last show expecially John Cockerell's Robert Johnson tunes and the followup with drums and harp and then the young cats following up on the electric guitars. It was all awesome and very impressive. You all are making SA cultural history! Keep up the good work and remember you will always have my support.
Hey Guys, Just came by to say Hi and Thanks. Ya'll do so much for the musical community here in San Antonio. I also remember the hard work during the Katrina Music Relief Project and concerts. I remember those trees in the picture and that hot day. You guys do good work. Keep the Blues jumping and good times rollin. See you soon!
