Based in Madison, Wisconsin, Saboroso plays Brazilian music including Samba, Bossa Nova, Pagode and other Brazilian styles. The group features unique instrumentation such as cavaquinho, classical guitar and a percussion ensemble based on the Samba schools of Rio de Janeiro.
Saboroso features former members of Wisconsin bands The Prole, Smokin with Superman, Kweku Ananse, Lorenzo's Music, Pleasure, The Little Blue Crunchy Things, Jazz in the Box and more.

‘Boteco’ is an artful mixture of neo-futuristic traditional Brazilian rhythms with the right quantity of the best North American spices. It is funk and rock boiling and baking with samba, maracatu, frevo and baiao.
Put Pele and Mohammed Ali in a fictional mix machine. Now add Frank Zappa, Sergio Mendes, Tom Jobim and Roger Waters and fused in to one. What a mix eh? Bat Makumba is this fusion, multiplied by 2.
