BREAKING NEWS: Hello and welcome back to “SA Indie Fest”,
Grand winner of the “BEST OF SAN ANTONIO CURRENT 2007”!!
That’s right, SA Indie, then just 2 months old, was awarded
The “BEST LIVE MUSIC EVENT of 2007” by the prestigious CURRENT.
We are very excited to tell you that the Festival will have a Part II!
We are shooting for the last weekend of September 2008.
The change in month has been decided because there is no need to overshadow SXSW!! ....Just kidding.
We have decided that SA Indie fest had no reason or need to step on anyone else's toes, and was certainly not in need of any confrontation with SXSW. I am a peaceful person, not a warrior nor a blood sucker opportunist, and as its founder, my intention is not to stress over an event I just wish to be beautiful.
October always brings us beautiful days, and I like the idea to organize the only music Fest in south Texas this time of the year. It also gives us 9 months to organize it in the best possible manner, to find the best of place.
Contrarily to the 1st SA indie, I do not want any restriction for who can or cannot come to the shows.
A park seems to be the best answer.
Music is a gift which has to be explored, tasted by everyone, at any ages… and like the RED ROOM was, I want SA Indie to be accessible to all!
Some changes projected are
• The length of the Festival. Most likely a long weekend, not a long week!
• No venues (has said above), Park, Park, Park!
• Possibility for a no-cover access or relatively cheap one.
THIS LAST ONE WILL ONLY BE POSSIBLE WITH SPONSORS $$$...PASS THE WORD, GIVE ME NAMES, I’LL CONTACT THEM!
• 3 days, 3 stages, 3 styles, 3 continents…
• UK/EUROPE (Rock/Alt); US/CAN/AUST (Rock/Alt); US/WORLD (Americana)
• The possibility for a RED ROOM TENT (Singer/songwriters) WORLDWIDE.
So, let's get all pumped up and excited, put on our hard working/thinking hats and start kicking some serious @ss!!! We've got 9 months to show the world that San Antonio has it!
Peace
Yours always,
Delphine,
SA Indie Founder.

OVERVIEW OF SA INDIE HISTORY:
What is SA indie fest??
SA indie fest is the first music festival of it's kind in San Antonio EVER!!!
It allows the music fans living in, and around San Antonio, to hear and experience great music without the chaos and high prices in Austin around this time.
As of today,SA indie fest has 150 bands booked with more being confirmed in the next week.
What happened to the name SXSA???
Due to a request by the people at SXSW we have been forced to change our name to avoid an ugly legal battle. Instead of fighting or being angry we have decided to rejoice in the change. We are and never were affiliated with them on any level. Changing the name gives San Antonio the chance to make a name of its own.
Viva SA indie fest!!!
VIVA SA indie fest!!!!!
Why SA indie fest??
The month of March is the beginning of Spring and a month away from our beloved Fiesta.
A week long music festival, held in San Antonio's music venues, would take advantage of the lull in tourism, and provide the City with more Hospitality taxes to fill in the financial void.
Who is SA Indie Fest?
Delphine Gunning, of San Antonio, who is the owner and operator of the music listening room, The Red Room ( www.myspace.com/redroomsa), is SA indie fest brain child.
She is an experienced music promoter who has developed, through The Red Room, an extensive list of professional relationships with Independent musical artists from all over the world.
You can reach Delphine Gunning via email at delphine@saindie.com for more info or booking requests.

I AM THE NEWEST BABY IN THE FAMILY OF TEXAS MUSIC FESTIVALS...TRULY INDEPENDENT AND COOL...!!!
SA indie fest is offering an extra stop for the many highly talented musicians traveling down south this time of year.
SA indie fest will open its door to a large variety of sounds
We are collaborating with two other venues, Rebar and Revolution Room in which the most rocking bands will find a good San Antonio audience
All venues are at walking distance from each other which make it the perfect situation for a first time festival of this size.
THE RED ROOM is of course the heart behind this new adventure!!!!!!!!
Our 1st SA indie fest will host singer songwriters such as Pink Nasty,Ian Moore, Hilary York, Carrie Engdahl, Amilia K Spicer, Pop Up (Scotland), Marcus Rubio, Zeegrass,Lanky, Matt the Electrician, …With bands coming from Europe to Asia passing by Australia, our beautiful line up is growing daily.
The festival will be held from MARCH 7th thru MARCH 13th
We will present well over 20 acts each day!! Please come support the ever growing Musical revolution happening in this very unique undiscovered city
PASS THE WORD, tell your fellow musicians!
Peace , Love & Music, The SA indie fest Team
Who I'd like to meet:
Talented artists willing to travel the world to sing us their stories...may i say, real troubadours!!...Pop rock bands from UK/Europe/US/Australia...
THANKS a ton SA INDIE FEST for adding us. Hope you enjoy the visit and our music!
Feel free to stop by any time and leave us a comment, message…and let us know what you think, feedbacks are really, really welcome!
Once in a limetime, there comes an event which will change the course of Human HISTORY!!!!!! that event is... The Tour To Detroit! Karma, along with other San Antonio musicians and artists are touring north to take part in The Allied Media Conference! We'll play shows along the way, then it's 4 days of music, media, skill sharing, grassroots awesomeness and bowling! with your help, we will not have to sell ourselves for gas money.
Just wanted to remind you all to tune in to KSYM 90.1 FM next Monday (May 11) night from 7-9PM for an in-studio performance from Paperwork and then to come to the Ten Eleven (formerly the Warhol) that Saturday (May 16) to see us share the stage with The Cardinal Health, Our Sleeping Giant, Snowbyrd and Tah-lia!
Since this is our hometown CD Release:
Pay the $7 door fee to see three great bands this friday night at Limelight on N.St.Mary's - then add ONE DOLLAR MORE, and we'll give you a copy of "Pose & Posture"! It's that easy! Hope you can make it!
Please come out on April 15th at the Alamo—there will be a rally with 9,000+ in attendance. This event will be Nationally covered. We are tired of Taxation without Representation and more specifically—The Federal Income Tax—This Tax is illegal and unconstitutional and is the child of the Federal Reserve!
The first three vids of this series explains very well how our money system works here in America… take a gander if you will….
