I hope you enjoy these selected images from my albums:
I post my photos here to share with others. I am a professional photographer and these are my craft. Big ups to all the artists who let me into their shows with my gear!! If you have a photo idea, I want to hear about it. Send me a message and let's see what we can create! Personal Use: If you want to use my photos for personal use (non-commercial) you are welcome to do so. Please don't alter them, such as to remove my watermark. That's how I promote myself as a photographer. Promotional Use: If you want to use them to promote your organization or band, please let me know. I am open to that. I mainly want to know who uses them in order to promote my photo services. Please don't alter them, such as to remove my watermark.
Musical Background
I have been playing with latin bands in Tulsa for about 3 years. I currently enjoy playing congas in Saoco. I have been focusing on learning the rich traditions of Afro-Cuban music by playing Salsa, Cha Cha, Latin Jazz, Guaguanco, Plena, 6/8 and many more.
Some friends and I occasionally play in an Afro-Carribean percussion ensemble called Alma Rumbera. We have explored 6/8, Plena, and Guaguanco rhythms.
I also love playing other percussion instruments when I get the chance. I sit in with friends whenever possible to stretch my horizons.
Photographic Background
I have been taking photos for over 10 years. I chose to pursue a degree from the University of Missouri Photojournalism program. I have never been drawn to shooting hard news, though.
I love shooting live music of all types. I shoot available light as much as possible. I like to capture the quality of light that exists without my intervention. I feel it is more authentic and usually more moving.
I take my Nikon D80 to as many shows as I can. Contact me if you want me to come to your show and shoot some promotional images of your group.
Heritage
I am French on my mom's side and American on my dad's. I speak 3 languages: French, Spanish and English and I love traveling as much as I can.
Travels
My international travels have included Spain, France, Switzerland, Germany (East and West circa 1988-89), The Netherlands, England, Reunion (an island off the coast of Madagascar) and probably a few more.
Greetings Sacha Thomas, Respect Raspect I Give Thanks For Reaching Out, Making The Connection And The Friendship !!!!!!! We Must Work Together !!!!!! Please Stay Close At JOHNNYALLEN. COM Blessed Love
