It all started in Pensacola, Florida. Mike was in the Navy living in the barricks. he moved in with his friend Mike Avayou. Started playing the drums in 1981. he bought a set from his friend Ron and joined a band with no name. As he started playing with them he suggested that they call the band Sachem. Sachem was a road that used to live on in Pensacola. Then his brother Keith came to visit him in 83' they played here and there. But Mike had to go overseas. So it kinda stopped. Then Mike came back and they played again. in 83' Keith wrote Dreams - the first Sachem song ever written. Mike & Keith scribbled down every idea that popped in their head. Keith stayed in Florida. Mike & Keith moved to a shack called 'studio'. When Keith was 17 he came to Iowa. Where Steve lived. Steve is married to Keith's sister Phyllis, thats how they met. Steve taught Keith how to play the guitar & gave him a chord chart. Keith practiced & practiced. He was in the Army and he got married. Mike set his sticks down for 10 years. Keith put his guitar down for 12. The band stopped. Keith got divorced. So now Keith & Steve lived in Iowa. Meanwhile, Mike was suppose to go to Coy. he went to a bar and everyone doubted him of playing the drums. He got on stage and rocked the house. He went to Iowa to visit everyone. Was only suppose to stay for a couple weeks. but ended up moving in with Keith. Keith's ex girlfriend Jackie was a big part of the creation of Sachem. Then the xmas 04' was the biggest xmas ever! Mike & Keith baught Steve a bass guitar. Sachem was officially started. And now we're here. Sachem is Soul, when our music is heard its enchanting. Our music is from the soul. Sachem is Sachem, and thats the way it is.
Oh I don't know...It's always a bad time for me when my dad takes off to go. My best friend just got married so I'm trying to start saving up money again since being such a big part in her wedding made me broke! I have to come out and see you guys though. It's been waaaaay too long! I started my job back in March and don't have any leave until next year. It's tough. I'll have to figure something out.
