I love live music. I also enjoy the theater. I like being outdoors and am a novice golfer. I love the beach and find being around water to be quite calming. I like to eat at restaurants and try new foods and love it when the service is great. I enjoy travelling and shopping. I also enjoy watching foreign films. I love to read, nonfiction mostly, but I'm reading more fiction as of late. I have a strong feeling that I'll be famous one day, so I read a lot of celebrity biographies. I like to write too. I like to dance, not saying that I'm a great dancer or anything, but I like to move. I like to drive too. Not just normal trips to the store and work, but long distances. It helps to clear the mind. I like hanging out with cool people who have interesting experiences to share.
Music
My music tastes vary depending on my mood, but my fave genre is hip hop. Some of my favorite artists are Goodie Mobb, Sade, Rahsaan Patterson, Raheem Devaughn, Earth, Wind & Fire, Mos Def, Meshell N'Degeocello, Fertile Ground, Omar, Sam Cooke, Dead Prez, Esthero, and Buju Banton.
Movies
Some of my faves are Hollywood Shuffle, Hav Plenty, Amelie, La Cage Aux Folles, and Nightmare on Elm Street.
Television
I tend to watch a lot of reality tv and forensic shows, but I do like most of the Law & Orders and think Curb Your Enthusiasm is the funniest show in television. I also watch a lot of cartoons (I don't know what's up with that) and I like Maya and Miguel, Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends, Codename: Kids Next Door, Dexter's Laboratory, Harvey Birdman, and FLCL.
Books
I LOVE books, but a short list of my faves are White Teeth by Zadie Smith, The Known World by Edward P. Jones, Bridget Jones's Diary by Helen Fielding and Happy to be Nappy by bell hooks and Chris Raschka.
Heroes
