Influences
We have had many influences over the years, everything from acclaimed artists such as Steven Curtis Chapman, Carmen and Third Day to the ever poplular 80's classic rock. Influences also span into the folk realm with artists such as John Denver. Most of the Christian artists listed above have also been an influence as successful artists. While they are all unique in their sound, they each possess a degree of humility and genuinely appear to be honored in their service to the King.
Webster's defines influence like this: "To have an effect on the condition or development of ........." As a group of individuals who have come together to form Sacrifice, all of us have been influenced by The Word of God and the Author. It has changed our conditions dramatically and is solely responsible for the development of who we are becoming. Our music is simply a reflection of this influence.
The Christian based artist known as Sacrifice has been in the works for many years. The front runners Tom Arseneault & Michael Sheehan originally from the New England area relocated to Baton Rouge in the early 90's. After their proper introduction to the Lord JESUS, and the truth of his gospel, their lives changed dramatically. Tom began to sing, Mike began to write and through a series of God steps & 15 yrs, they found themselves in Nashville amongst some of the best in the music business to birth their debut album titled "Guide Me". In the midst of all this taking place, Sacrifice was established AKA SacrificeMinistries. Joining their hearts and talents with Mike & Tom are four men who share the same vision of impacting lives for Christ through the music ministry. They are Matt "Riff" Fertitta, Jeff Pendergrass, Ralph Walker and Jordan Kaiser. All members have been involved in local church praise & worship for years. To give our lives is the least we can offer Christ as he 1st layed his life down for us. It is our reasonable service and our privilege to offer ourselves a living "Sacrifice"
I wouldn't have missed the Canobie concert for the world! I am so proud of each and every one of you guys. To see ya'll from the very beginning and watching ya'll grow together and in Christ has been awesome. Thanks for letting me be a part of it! I love you guys and I am keeping ya'll in my prayers constantly . . . separately and corporately.
