Born in rural New Brunswick, Sadie has been immersed in music her entire life. Her father, an avid guitar player, sang songs to her in place of bedtime stories and introduced her to artists like Doc Watson, John Prine, Patsy Cline, and Chet Atkins at a young age - the love for singing and musical performance developed early. By the time she reached university, Sadie was a classically trained pianist and an aspiring opera singer. And although Sadie enjoyed playing classical piano compositions and singing operatic songs, something was missing; a creative outlet that she yearned for. In her first year of university, Sadie picked up an acoustic guitar and hasn’t put it down since. Since then, Sadie has taught herself to play the guitar and has written numerous songs which combine whimsical folk themes, East Coast strains, and heartfelt lyrics. Sadie currently resides in Vancouver, British Columbia, where she recorded her first demo with producer Winston in May of 2008. Currently, Sadie is enjoying playing music at the various open mics and coffee shops around the city.
Hello Sadie :) then the pleasure is ours young lady :) I am once again thankful, for music that feeds my heart and soul, for the light and love you spread thru your music and to connect with a kindred spirit...I've always said, that my favorite song, is the one I am listening to at "that" moment...thank-you for the moments I have spent here, and will again
Thanks Sadie! I really love your sound too. Let's start a mutual appreciation society. Haha. I've got a couple of shows coming up in the new year. How about you? All the best, Susan
Thanks a lot. Poly uses a sample from Estill C. Ball's incredible version of Polly. I just took this small section, looped it and laid other instruments on top. Real credit goes to the great Mr. Ball.
