About 佐渡山豊

沖縄、コザ（現沖縄市）生。1995年「ドゥチュイムニー」が泡盛（菊の露酒造）のCMに起用され、大きな話題となる。1997年、アルバム「さよならおきなわ」を発表。関西、関東はじめ四国や北海道など全国各地で精力的にライヴをおこない、2004年５月にはNY在住のサックスプレーヤーSwing MASAらとＮＹPEACEツアーを成功させ、着実に活動の幅を拡げている。 2009年ポニーキャニオンより「時間のカケラ　Fragment of the time」をリリース。　

佐渡山豊の４年ぶりのNEWCDが2009年1月21日ポニーキャニオンから発売される。
今回のCDは『フレンドシップ』をコンセプトに、佐渡山たっての希望で旧友仲井戸麗市氏を迎え、30数年ぶりの感動的な再会に始まった。結果、収録されたうたの一つ一つに新鮮な息吹が吹き込まれている。
他に、仲井戸氏といつもライブセッションされているピアノのたつのすけ氏、NY在住のJAZZミュージシャン、SwingMASA、沖縄の唄者、新垣優子も好演している。
この作品の顔である、ジャケット写真には３０数年来佐渡山を撮り続けている写真家・勝山奏佑氏が担当し、タイトル題字の書は書家であり、これぞというこだわりの逸品を世界中から集めた三重県の林時計鋪の店主、林俊一氏が担当。
