Safari is a Norwegian gospel/soul-group founded in Oslo, Norway 1997. The group consists of fourteen excellent singers/soloists, many of which are working full-time with music; both as freelance singers and as individual artists. Safaris musical style varies from contemporary gospel, r'n'b and soul, -to traditional old-school gospel and beautiful, touching ballads. Most of Safari’s repertoire consists of self-composed material, mostly written by Safaris musical director Eirik Kaasa. Throughout the years, Safari has performed on various stages all over Norway and participated in a lot of different arrangements, festivals, TV-shows and more. On two separate occasions Safari has sold out Rockefeller Music Hall in Oslo and they have also contributed on a number of different CD-recordings in Norway and Sweden. Safari has also guested the Norwegian version of “Dancing with the stars” on TV2 and was voted “Best choir in town” and won the online vote for the Norwegian talent show “Kjempesjansen” on NRK (TV) where they got to participate in the TV-show and win a good portion of prize money in 2006. In March 2009 Safari released their first album: “Thank You”. This is an album which has been greatly anticipated for many years and the response from both the press and the audience has been nothing but positive since the release. The album contains of 15 tracks, 13 of which are self-composed. Featured on the album are also two amazing gospel singers from the states; Isaac Carree (Men of Standard/Kirk Franklin) and Nikki Ross (Kirk Franklin). Since the release Safari has been on tour with Isaac Carree and also had the pleasure of sharing the stage with artists like Myron Butler and Kirk Franklin. -

I den seneste internasjonale finalen var det norske ENVY fra Oslo som vant! Samme år som de var med på Emergenza Festival har de bl.a. spilt på by:Larm, Øya, Hove, VEGA i København og de har gitt ut singelen sin på Universal og hatt airplay på P3.
