About me:

I am just a young woman who is from Indianapolis, IN- USA, but now living in Egypt. I've been living overseas since June 2006, and have lived here in Egypt and the UAE.....who knows where I will move next? Allahu allam :-) I converted to Islam January 26, 2003, alhamdulilah. I met my husband later that year, and we were married December 2003. Of course he will tell you that we have made it this long due to "HIS combination of wisdom and patience" ...... HA!:-) More like BOTH of us! LOL Actually, he's a pretty great guy:-) He is also Muslim and we are working really hard to be the best we can, insha'Allah. I have a GREAT family still living in Indiana, some in Ohio, Egypt, and also UAE. How nice is that?!??! I MISS MY FAMILY!! My interests are reading, writing poetry, movies, musuems, antiquities, history, traveling, and meeting different people. I'm still working on learning Arabic currently, and it's coming along more since I came back here, alhamdulilah. I am still trying to make friends here and miss spending so much time chit-chatting in coffee houses like I used to back in the day! The last couple years have been quite full of traveling, seeing new things, meeting new people,making new friends, learning about different cultures, and another language. I hope that I can do more traveling to other countries soon, insha'Allah. I'm REALLY hoping that we will make hajj soon, insha'Allah:-) I'm also hoping to make more friends, insha'Allah. I really feel like I've grown a lot as a person the past 6 years, alhamdulilah. I've learned so much about myself and about others.
