In der Biographie eines Künstlers gibt es immer den einen Moment oder Umstand, an dem sich alles entscheidet. Der Umstand, der den Willen schärft, eine Karriere gegen alle Barrikaden zu starten und die Karriere als Künstler bedingungslos zu leben.
Am 3. November erblickt Safiya in einem kleinen Ort unweit der syrischen Grenze in der Türkei das Licht der Welt. Als Safiya zwei Jahre alt ist, zieht sie mit ihrer Familie nach Deutschland. Kaum dort angekommen, stirbt ihre Mutter. Von diesem Moment an bedeutet Musik für sie die Bewältigung von Trauer, Trost und Hoffnung. Musik ist für Safiya aber auch gleichzeitig Heimlichkeit und Verbotenes.
Die Jüngste von fünf Geschwistern darf weder singen noch Musik hören. Ihr Vater hat es verboten. Also bleibt ihr nichts anderes übrig, als nachts leise und heimlich ihrer Leidenschaft nachzugehen. Ihr Traum von der ganz großen Bühne soll sie nicht mehr loslassen.
Mit 18 Jahren verlässt sie ihr Elternhaus, es folgen Jahre mit lausigen Unterkünften und Nebenjobs und die Feststellung, dass Tanzen und Singen alleine die Karriere nicht voranbringen. Was ihrer Musik bis dahin fehlt, ist die Seele, eine Message.
Nach langem Experimentieren in verschiedenen Tonstudios findet Safiya nun endlich ihren ganz eigenen Stil und braucht nur noch den Produzenten, der sie und ihre Musik versteht. 2007 lernt Sie den Erfolgsproduzenten Peter Ries kennen. Von da an ist sie ihrem Ziel so nah wie noch nie, beginnt ihre eigenen Songs zu komponieren und über ihr Leben und ihre Kindheit zu schreiben (tatkräftige Unterstützung für ihre Texte bekommt sie von Mary S. Applegate).
Safiyas Wunsch ist es, die Menschen mit ihrer Musik und ihrer Geschichte zu berühren und ihnen das zu geben, wonach sie sich schon als Kind sehnte… Liebe.

In the biography of every artist, there comes a moment or episode which is decisive. A circumstance which sharpens the will to start a career against all odds and to live out the vocation of being an artist unconditionally.
On November 3rd, in a tiny village not far from the Syrien border in Turkey, Safiya came into the world . At the tender age of two , when Safiya arrived in Germany, her mother died. From this moment on, music became her sorrow, her consolation, her hope. At the same time, music was something secretive and forbidden for her.
The youngest of five siblings, Safiya wasn't allowed to sing, let alone listen to music. That was her father's law. There was nothing else for her to do but to secretly listen to music at night, turned down low, in order to follow her passion. Her vision and dream of the big stage would never leave her.
When she was 18, she left home and she spent the following years in lousy accomodations with part-time jobs here and there and came to the conclusion that singing and dancing wasn't enough to help her carrier.
Her music needed something - the soul - the message, just as her life needed a meaning. After experimenting in many different studios, Safiya finally found her very own and unique style. All that she needed was the right producer to understand her and her music.
In 2007 she met hit producer Peter Ries. Her dream was closer than ever before and she began composing and writing the story of her life and childhood (with contributing support for her lyrics from Mary S. Applegate)
Safiya's vision was no longer just to sing...Now she had a mission : through her music and her story, she wanted to give people that what she had longed for as a child...Love.
