Interests

  • General

Music, books - both writing & reading, art - both looking & creating, crocheting, computers, hiking, horses, dogs, white tigers, cooking, video games, and I admit freely to being a slave to my iPod . . .
  • Music

My library is extensive, I abhor Rap, dislike Country, and listen to everything else; Classic Rock, Heavy Metal, Classical, R&B, Opera . . . you name it, I've got it. Personal favorites; Queensryche, Geoff Tate, Alan Parsons Project, Disturbed, Fuel, Ted Nugent, Pink Floyd, Static X, Rush, Scorpions, David Bowie, Seals & Croft, Peter Frampton, Earth Wind & Fire, Heart, Pat Benatar, Melissa Etheridge and 10,000 Maniacs.
  • Movies

Anything with Anthony Hopkins, Sean Connery, Brad Pitt, or Tom Hanks in it for the most part. We're true blue movie junkies at my house, so listing any favorites is to difficult - if not impossible!
  • Television

House MD, Grey's Anatomy, ER, Lost, Fringe, and Bones. I LOATHE reality television crap. Another pet peeve, how many freaking incarnations of Law & Order and CSI can there possibly be? Do we live in such a creatively drained society that we cannot produce anything original? Enthrall me, entertain me . . . come on Hollyweird, I DARE YOU!
  • Books

All the classics, but I am guilty of reading the cheesy crap like V.C. Andrews, Anne Rice, Dean Koontz, John Saul, Stephen King (puts me to sleep), Bertrice Small, Kathleen Woodiwiss . . . and the list goes on and on and on. e. e. cummings and T.S. Eliot are my favorite poets.
  • Heroes

Anyone who manages to get out of bed everyday and face this fucked up place we call a society with their sanity in tact without succumbing to what this faction or that faction dictates to be acceptable - is my hero. My heroes are individuals who think for themselves, and succeed.

About me:

I am the epitome of the stereotypical Sagitarian bitch. I do not consider being a bitch to be something I should be ashamed of. Bitch and proud of it. Damn straight. I started my family young - I busted my ass until I became ill, and now I search still for alternate ways of 'bringing home the bacon'. C'est la vie. Shit happens. Get over it and move on. My blog here will be a soap box from time to time. I really don't spend much time or energy here. I'm ever so slightly more dedicated to my Open Diary - which I've maintained for an insane amount of years and have a lifetime subscription. I will crosspost blogs, time permitting. Time. A four-letter word I loathe - as there is never enough of it.

Who I'd like to meet:

All the popular horror/thriler writers of the time, so I can tell them how boring, predictable, and dry they've become. One exception, Clive Barker. He still rocks. Ironic Hollyweird doesn't have the balls to make more of his manuscripts into movies. I'd like to meet Stephen Hawking just to touch him and wish one tenth of his intelligence would pass onto me via osmosis. I'd like to meet Geoff Tate, and look into his eyes while he performs "In Other Words" Sylvia Browne, to see her reactions to me and hear what insights she has to share . . . And "just because" I think they are hot, interesting and unique; Jeff Goldblum, John Malkovich, Anthony Hopkins, Sean Connery, Vin Diesel, 'The Rock', Rob Zombie, Marilyn Manson, Hugh Jackman, and Ted Nugent (I met and hung out with Uncle Tedly when I was a teenager, but now that I'm an old hag, I'd like to meet him again and have a 'grown up' conversation with him).

clavicles are your collar bones... it's a surface piercing. one bar bell running parallel with each collar bone. i think it's really pretty, but i've been getting some pretty mixed reactions from people i've shown lol. some think they are really bad ass and love them, and others (majority) have been like "Oh my god how could you do that to yourself?!" eh.... whatever lol.

The "O" made the list! The Tampa Times "TBT" TOP 100 BARS 99. Osceola Tavern "The Osceola Tavern has only been around since 1992, but the building it's in has been a Dade City fixture since the 1890s, and was a saloon at least as far back as 1897. Classic rock jukeboxes, original live music on weekends and a whole mess of folks who don't feel like heading to Hillsborough for a good time — that, as they say, is real. "  -Tampa Times

Adjusting well to Ohio...loving it actually, it's beautiful and breezy like the kind you only get in FL if you live near the water, but here it's awesome. I have a great job (don't like it as much as sales coach though) and my job has REAL benefits!!! Didn't have too much snow when we got up here, thank goodness, will have to hire a chauffeur this winter, lol. Not looking forward to driving on snow and ice. Other then that it's great, Ashley my oldest is going to start at a magnet school next year for Arts. Write back some time.
