Many says Sahmuel's message and voice are so pure and meaningful they had to be partner to it.

Born to parents Hyacinth and Robert Schroeter in Portland Jamaica, West Indies, on May 7th, some 30 years ago, Bernard Sahmuel Schroeter came to purpose. Music is in his blood and he is enriched with a lineage of talent dating back to his trumpet playing grandfather. At a very early age and with the encouragement of their parents, his siblings joined him on stage, and “The Schroeter Brothers” became a popular gospel group and household name throughout Jamaica. Sahmuel says “When I discovered myself, I discovered music. I cannot remember a moment when I wasn’t involved in music and family”.

Deeply spiritual, Sahmuel knows that Reggae music is the medium to disseminate his message throughout the world and that through the power of Reggae, he can spread positivity without the stigma attached to Reggae. He looks ahead stating, “We are all prophets, and our lives will prophesy what the future will become. The children are the future, and we are now, but also the future, living through our children. We can influence their lives by the lifestyles that we live, therefore, we should live an exemplary life; clean and decent.” Sahmuel wants the message to not only impact the lives of young people, but to help cultivate a good life for them, by giving them possibilities. When asked about the current political state of the world and if it inspires his music, he responded by explaining that political attacks on our leaders with music is not something that will help society. Sahmuel states firmly, “If you focus on individuals and make them aware of the real life situation they are faced with and provide them ways to rise above it and succeed then that will help”. He goes on to say, “Music alone cannot change things. Music is a vehicle, and what you do with that vehicle is what makes a difference.”

Sahmuel is sending a universal message to the world. A world getting smaller everyday. A world dependent on each other. Sahmuel believes: We should strive to promote unity in diversity because we are more alike as a people than different as we think we are”.
