SAID AND DONE is just a bunch of kids playing the music they love, HARDCORE. Taking cues from the 80'ies their songs are full of groove and melody, but with a raw edge. Add some lyrics that are trying to bring accross a message (without being pretentious) to the mix and you'll get the idea what they're all about.
Two tracks, recorded with Michiel Toenink, introduced the band to the world in 2006. This online released promo got their name out fast and got things started. At the end of that same year a full length, titled "Everyday", was recorded with Patrick Delabie at Studio 195 in Wernhout (NL). Released by Shield Recordings on on both CD and LP in 2007 it got great feedback. More shows followed and at the beginning of 2008 they recorded a well-received EP called "Endless Roads", this time with Dirk Miers at De Studio in Asse (Belgium). Building on the Cro Mags / Leeway / Maximum Penalty influenced sound they were known for, it also added some new layers, inspired by bands like Motorhead & Only Living Witness. The "3 song promo tape" (released on frontman Pim's own tape label Pressure Release Records) from the end of 2008, recorded with Nico van Montfort, shows them branching out a bit more, adding more rocking vibes to the mix.
Between recording and releasing these records they played lots of shows. Aside from playing all over their own country they went into the distance, taking small trips through countries like Spain, England, Wales, Belgium and Germany. Hopefully 2009 will give them the opportunity to add more countries to that list.
new record out on November 20th on a limited digipack edition check www.myspace.com/countdownrecords to listen the first single "Points of hope and fear"
yeah i went there with them. it was a ok show i guess.. i was suprised that there were so few people there, strange, i thought belgium was gonna be wild. But still there was so many band that pulled off great cro-mags covers and Guns Up did a good show so i dont regret going there. Hey man do you know any people that put up shows in your area? Values & Big Deal are doing this tour and needs some gaps to fill, maybe you could point us in the right direction.

hi Pim, i read all the eurotour report and it definitely rocks. Road back to home was okay . Too bad there wasn't that much people during the european bands shows... People in belgium does not seem to care a lot about all the good bands from their own area... (The Ice, Said And Done, Oathbreaker for example). Hope to see you soon, here or there in Europe. Take care, Antoine
