MusicThis could lead to a very long and diverse list which I'm far too lazy to put together but would include, among other types, contemporary and traditional folk styles of many cultures, including urban US, art rock, glam, proto-punk, punk, trance, "just plain, can't think of any qualifier" rock, even some folky (not pseudo-rock) country I have to admit, I've been caught listening to Classical and Baroque. It all has to be about what mood I'm in.
MoviesTerminator, Terminator 2, Alien, Aliens, Alien Resurrection, Serenity, The Company of Wolves, Ginger Snap trilogy, The Hunted, Shallow Grave, The ORIGINAL Wicker Man, Girlfight, Whale Rider, Sixth Sense, Unbreakable, Die Hard franchise, Long Kiss Goodnight, Pale Rider, The Magnificent 7, 7 Samurai
TelevisionCurrent: LOST, Law & Order: SVU, House, Heroes, Dr. Who, Torchwood and Burn Notice. I did love X-Files, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Firefly and Homicide: Life on the Street. I cut my teeth, pun intended, on Dark Shadows, grew up on original Star Trek (but never got an interest in the later versions), and favored in my teen years Kolchak: The Night Stalker, The Bionic Woman (the original) and Lou Grant. That two of these were centered around journalists may have had some influence as I've worked in the business twice, about 20 years apart. All these shows of my youth, except Star Trek which I guess the later ones just spoiled for me, still have a place in my heart and all lame attempts at remaking are just sad.
BooksThis one will take awhile, but to start: Celtic Mythology by Proinsias MacCana, The Wisdom of the Outlaw: The Boyhood Deeds of Finn in Gaelic Narrative Tradition by Joseph Falaky Nagy, The Tain by Thomas Kinsella, Cattle Lords and Clansmen: The Social Structure of Early Ireland by Nerys Patterson, Warrior Women by Dr. Jeannine Davis-Kimball, True Horsemanship Through Feel by Bill Dorrance with Leslie Desmond. My fiction tastes include Stephen King, Dean Koontz, Dan Simmons and Charles de Lint but again that's a small sampling.
HeroesBill Dorrance, Leslie Desmond, Dennis Reis and others who have helped horses in many ways both in understanding as these folk have and in rescue, those of many nations who give their lives for freedom rather than greed, An Morrígan, Fionn mac Cumhaill, Scáthach, Bodbmall, Búanann, Cáma, Luas Lurgann, Líath Lúachra, Macha, Odin. (Some of these are actually my Deithe (Gods) but are inspirations all the more)

About me:
*I mostly use this to network against horse slaughter and somewhat to connect with others on similar spiritual paths as I am, if you want to find more of my thoughts, mostly "friends-only" it's better to check my Live Journal*

I'm a polytheist focused on Scottish Highland and Hebride culture, ban-fhiannaidh, Hillbilly survivalist, barbarian, writer, boss mare and all around raging, rabid, opinionated, savage alpha bitch. Any questions?

Rumor has it that I got that whole Celtic Reconstructionist thing going, being the first to actually publicly use the term to describe a spiritual path back in '92. However, I no longer identify with the term as it is now used for something different than what I meant. I in no way endorse any CR claims by anyone. Yes, I am credited on the CR FAQ but I wrote little except for most of the women warrior thing...I couldn't let them say that women were commonly warriors because it just wasn't so as much as we might wish it. Other than that, please, no, just forget any mention of me at all. I have a BA in Celtic and Women's Studies which brought about the idea that I needed something based on the actual culture and mythology than what I had been practicing, I just never should have labeled it, that seems to cause movements and I don't like movements. Someday I might go to graduate school, but life is in the way right now and at this point I'd just rather become an EMT and a horse trainer. Should the Shit Hit The Fan, these skills will be more important than knowing Old Irish...but I'll keep plugging at it on my own anyway.

I really sort of do make my living as a ban-fhiannaidh as well as professional fire-tender. ~;) Until recently I was a reporter and photographer for a local paper. My mate and I have been taking steps into homesteading, but work does get in the way of doing this as far as we would like so we mostly just raise chickens. We have a Greyhound, used to have three, an Aussie/Border Collie cross learning to be a farm dog and, until recently, an elderly Arabian horse who made an amazing recovery from his past abuse. We have now welcomed a new PMU foul into our lives in October 2007. We raise chickens, preferring Dorkings but currently we have mostly a motley crew of hybrids from a local farmer after the loss of our roosters last winter. We live in some of the most beautiful woods in the world in northern New Hampshire.

I'm an ardent anti-horse slaughter activist, so if you're pro-horse slaugther and/or use Premarin or have eaten horse meat, just move along. It's not something I'll debate in a civil manner.

Dùn Sgàthan my site

As well as my personal site (which is getting overhauled), which includes some of my writing, linked above, I do a Physical Feminism blog called Championing Ourselves. I also maintain The Sarah Connor Charm School site and run a site for Pagan warrior women called Caithream and am always looking for new material for it. I run a Sacred Horse mailing list for Pagan horse enthusiasts as well.

Other serious about the Outsider warrior path. Natural horsepeople, anti-horse slaughter activists, homesteaders and others sharing interests I have. However, if I don't know you from somewhere else, I'd appreciate a message as to why you are adding me. Or if you are someone I do know but I might not recognize you, it would help too. I don't know you and we don't actually share interests don't expect me to add you. That being said, if you have your profile on "private" then you do have to message me in order for me to have any clue.
