Sailaway Collective: Independent music public relations, event production and promotions agency based in Los Angeles, Ca. Since 2004, Sailaway Collective has provided public relations, marketing and consulting to emerging, independent artists and entertainment industry professionals in the United States, Canada and Colombia, South America.
Sailaway Collective promoted 45 Latin Alternative live music events in Los Angeles for the past three years (2006-2008). With a two and a half year residency at Temple Bar, Santa Monica, a venue that for 12 years was recognized by always having the most eclectic and world music live music performances in West Los Angeles. Since November 2008, Sailaway Collective has a monthly residency at Zanzibar, Santa Monica always presenting Latin Alternative and World Music concert series combined with Djs, live painting performances and visuals.

Nacional Records is proud to announce the July 7th release in stores of Bomba Estereo’s highly-anticipated physical debut ‘Blow Up.’ The group has an explosive dance sound, combining electronica, dub and hip-hop with Colombian rhythms like cumbia and champeta. They previously released a digital album on Nacional. Their new album is available TODAY exclusively on iTunes - Click above to get yours!‘Blow Up’s first single is the infectious track “Fuego.” Lead vocalist Liliana “Li” Saumet describes its inspiration: “We wanted to make a colorful song. It is all about the sun and getting sucked into the world. It’s about being in another state-of-mind.”
Bomba Estereo recently made their U.S. debut at SXSW 2009, an experience that helped generate considerable buzz for the group and their upcoming release. “It was a very memorable trip because it took us completely by surprise,” explains the band’s founder, producer and guitarist Simon Mejia. “I don’t think we knew what to expect before we got there. It was great to see how many people came out. The energy was very positive. Everyone just connected to the music.”
Bomba Estéreo came together as a project organized by Mejia in 2005, forming within the rich underground electronic scene that has become Bogota, Colombia. Recruiting fierce singer Saumet to join the group, Bomba Estéreo developed its sound and electrifying live show.
