This is the part where I’m supposed to talk about myself. About my accomplishments, and use big words and lots of hyphens to describe my unique sound. But the truth of the matter is, that’s not me. I’m just some kid that loves to play music.
My name is Josh, and this is my solo project. Music is my life. I’ve been playing as long as I can remember, and to be completely honest, I believe I’ll play until the day I die. I’ve been in a ton of bands, which you more than likely haven’t heard of. I was left here, with nothing but open ocean all around me. To me, it always seemed like I was sailing in circles, searching for the right course to take. The sky was all I had, so I decided to

Q: So like, it's just you in the band? how does that work? Do you play everything?
A: Yes! Sail by the Stars is a one man band, and I write/record all of the instruments myself. Which include, but are not limited to: Vocals, Acoustic Guitar, Electric guitar, Bass, Drums, Tambourine, Keys, and the glockenspiel. Ok, so I don't really play the glockenspiel. But that would be awesome, right?
Q: Who runs the Myspace? Do you actually read/respond?
A: The only person that is EVER on here is me. =] If not, someone's hacked me, and I'm in big trouble. I try to read and respond to EVERY comment I get. If I haven't responded to yours, COMMENT BACK, because due to some fluke, I missed it.
Q: Where are you from?
A: four.oh.two! Omaha, Nebraska. Born and raised.
Q: How old are you?
A: I'm 23 years old. My birthday is March 17th.
Q:How long have you been doing this?
A: I started the project in June of '08.
Q: What happened to the other guys that used to be in the band?
A: This originally started as a solo project last year, and i recruited a few people to play in sail with me. Sometimes things change, and after six months, it became clear to everyone involved that sail was meant to be a solo project. They left to pursue their own musical adventures, and there's no bad blood with anyone. I wish them all the best!

The one thing I love more than anything, are hugs. PLUS they're free! I love meeting new people and hanging out with old friends, so bringing yourself makes me feel great about what I'm doing. You can also bring a friend that normally wouldn't have to come a show!
