"St. Anthony is inspiringly creative, utilizing odd time signatures, quirky guitar melodies, and layers of chant-like vocals, but the first time I saw them live, I was struck by the unique rhythms that anchored many of their songs. On one particular song, three members of the bands were playing percussion.
Also, by the end of the night, most of the band ended up in their underwear."

Finally…here is the new split cassette from Eloi and Mike M and it
is called “Cramped Living”. This release plays out like a nocturnal
AM-radio transmission drenched in honey. Side A features Eloi
sleepwalking through a hothouse jungle, full of whispers and flickering
lights.. And Side B features Mike M’s soundtrack of desert wanders in
search of fata morgana.
You all were the best local band I've ever heard. I've got my own opinion of perfect prog rock and you all are already doing it! Last night was the first time I've heard you and certainly won't be the last. Thanks for the inspiration.

Try disco. A pioneer in the insta-dance party movement that has been sweeping the east coast, Pro Bro has been cracking the keys for years and often changing the suffix of his moniker along the way. Wether there's a "Dog", "God", or "Gold" on the end you can rest assured that you're in store for hummingbird fast keyboard taps, Jook City scraps, and a lung full of fog. Liquid Gold is his first post Fas'ners release and it coincides with the expansive tour of the same name. Put in the disc, turn off the lights, and rumpshake with a smirk..make him proud.
DIAMOND HYMEN (Central Florida,International Noise Conference) http://cephiastreat.com/ http://www.squelchers.net/inc.htm , straight from the New College of Sarasota and recent controversial noise sex kitten from the world of Vice Magazine. A solo woman with two keyboards and various effects made a tone float of mind dance and off kiltered drone popsicles sold in some off mars colony it seemed.
Come follow the pied piper of a parade to the best of the best Block Party's this summer! We are going to attempt a guerrilla sidewalk parade (location TBA) and end at the biggest and best of all the block party's this summer. A parade featuring a rowdy 19 piece drum and brass marching band from providence, freak bikes, and over-sized puppets, and whoever else decides to attach themselves as we go. We encourage kids and family's to take part in the parade part of this night's events.
At the block party we will have a potluck, we encourage spontaneous grilling, food making, cooler bringing, and dancing shoes bringing. Donations for the traveling bands are very much appreciated. Let's help these guys pay for their gas to the next city and thank them for coming through our town and bestowing excitement and joy for everyone. After leading us in a pied-piper parade, the What CHeer Brigade will play again later that night at the Block party, along 3 dancey/party/noise-ish/experimental-ish bands touring together from central Florida http://cephiastreat.com/ , and local legends the Crisco kids! Sure to make you dance, faint, and have a good time.

HELL-KITE (Tempe, Arizona) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rFQpPL-jlAE http://www.myspace.com/hellkitemusic "The other Arizonian, Hell-Kite, a young woman named Ann Marie Philipp from Tempe with pleasantly "symmetrical bone structure, shared somber, minimalist songs, accompanied by her electric guitar and petite Marshall amp without a mic. It was like witnessing her play in her bedroom, and when her voice rose, the cry became tremulous and palpably intense, as if just hearing it was verging on invading her privacy."
Stephen Stienbrink of FRENCH QUARTER (Pheonix Arizona) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3mgX6KvQ0yE http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zGoECcqJOrU It’s a relief not to be blinded by the sparkle of production, and to simply accept the drafty-room acoustics and dusty guitars. In the place of aural bling, there are spare moments of innovation, inadvertent field recordings, and a snare drum that sounds like a wet towel hitting the locker room floor. And when Steinbrink’s voice harmonizes with itself to create eerie intervals that make these songs something more than merely pretty"
