"Lap-steel whiz Myk Freedman excels at intensely evocative instrumentals that draw on Dixieland, klezmer and avant-garde jazz. His aesthetic is wistful yet subtly surreal."
-Time Out New York
"Freedman’s ballads are some of the most gorgeous music in jazz right now."

The CD release performance was great - looks like the sky shut you down before the authorities could, but all 50 or so minutes of it were quite nice. I especially liked Jake's makeshift grate-stomp bass drum sound. I'm listening to the new record now and it was well worth the wait. "I Am Trapped On A Ship That Has Already Sunk" is goosebumpy.
I thoroughly enjoy the new tracks! Can't wait for the new disc! Great to hear Mr. Koschminder go all Pharaoh Sanders in the middle of that one track. Lots of new flavours and feelings! Fleelings! Yeah!
Hey...I haven't heard these songs in awhile. I've missed them. I recall the sound of St.Dirt coinciding with thoughts as to whether or not the carpet of the Tranzac was really a living creature. Good to know things are still going well. Take care.
Loved Loved Loved seeing you guys play at Trazac the other week. :) It's always such a pleasure to catch great music live such as yours. I am thankful to Justin for informing me... :) Now here's a little buzz buzzy garden fizz to sprinkle on your pretty page!
Hello...Thank you very much..I know the band comments can be pretty cheesy, but we had to say Hi to all our new friends...since you and others gave us a chance...and we care very much about people giving us their time...thanks again
