Guinness, the rambling prophecies of Robert Anton Wilson, 14 century meat packing procedures, Charles Bukowski, things we best not mention and the color yellow. You get the idea...
All dedicated bands go through many changes trough out their careers, but few underground bands weather the changes, the road and the chaos to make it though a decade. This summer SAINT FAMINE SOCIETY will continue to do just that.
Over the past ten years SAINT FAMINE SOCIETY have played the countrys best underground venues (including CBGBs etc.), and become known for their incendiary performances and the gritty deliverance of their bone breaking music. They have opened for nationally and internationally recognized artists, toured the states solo and with a few Invisible records sanctioned tours, includeding members of Pigface. While SFS was in its formative stages it was voted 3rd best band in central Florida by radio listeners, beating many performers who are now staples on both AOR radio and the arena concert circuit.
During the late 90s when based in Charlotte NC they spearheaded the resistance against a proposed concert rating system and gained coverage on all three major US television networks. Due to in part to their efforts the system was never approved by local officials.
The new release is nearing completion and the next tour is being considered for 2009.
