About Saint Joe Hazelwood

S Joe Hazelwood has existed in one form or another since November 2004. The group currently consists of Christopher Alspach on guitar and mandolins and Regina Peterson on flutes and bass. Here are some things people have said about us

Songs:Illinois "Detractors say the new folk trio is "unbearably mellow". If I were them I'd take that as a compliment. In this hyperactive world it's occasionally nice to take a break and let the melody (the real foundation of music) to take hold of us. While the band describes itself as a folk group, the quavering vocals of Chris Alspach (a la Antony and the Johnstons) and at times experimental, treated acoustic instrumentation belie a more genre jumping style."
