Started by Dim Dust in 2008 as a side project, Sakred Plague has taken off quite rapidly as much more than an idea. As previous bands include One True Sakred & Sakred, experimental rock has been a massive musical influence .
A sudden urge to create deep and atmospheric songs, with a mainstream hook, overpowered his musical direction and songwriting. Brought up on piano, switching to guitar, and now, vocal interest has transformed and opened up his visions of music as a whole, with no limitations.
Incorporating elements of Alternative Rock, Metal, Electronica and Ambient (...) , Sakred Plague albums are conceived and performed largely by Dust with the occasional producer or musician assisting him in the process.
SKP released two independent EPs, Premonition in 2008 and Nigla in 2009 (with Zorch Factory Records), both produced and recorded by Dust. The touring band features a revolving lineup currently consisting of Dim on vocals, keyboards, sampling and guitars ; and Vikk Disaster on drums.
However you choose to look at it, this deep, sad, surrealist and angry music will take you adrift upon its compelling chords, but be prepared for a sudden forceful movement into your soul.
