The 6th Annual of the Salento Internationa Film Festival (SIFF) has announced today that they are now accepting film submission for the festival taking place in September 4-13, 2009 in Salento the land of the sun.
Filmmakers worldwide are encouraged to submit their project for consideration. All selected films are eligible to be included in the competition for "People Choice Award" in the following categorie: Feature, Short-Film, and Documentary. The competitive part of the film festival is available in the categories of Best Feature, Best Documentary, Best Short and Best Actor/Actress along with other awards.
Entry forms and eligibility guidelines are available through withoutabox and the festival website. www.salentofilmfestival.com.
Discounted entry fees are provided for films submitted by January 30, 2009.
The Salento International Film Festival Is a celebration of films and filmmakers, promotes international independent films, in recognition of the fact that movies are the most powerful form of cultural communication and link between cultures' and peoples'.
Founded in 2004 by Luigi Campanile, the Salento International Film Festival emerged as a major cultural event and the top film festivalin South Italy. Each year it introduces filmmakers worldwide to the Salento area's unique resources, while celebrating the history and future of the film industry with 10 days of world premieres, special events, seminars, feature films, short films, documentaries, and all night parties.
