Hi everyone,
My name is Sal Grillo,I am a performer/teacher/Songwriter.
I was born in Sicily,Italy and started my musical studies at the age of 8. Growing up in an Italian family allowed me to listen to some wonderful Italian music,which has shaped my music over the years. I studied accordion for many years,winning numerous awards. It was at this time I decided I wanted to go to school for music. I studied at the University of Bridgeport in CT and recieved a degree in music theory. I furthered my studies at Berklee College of Music in Boston,MA. I began teaching music at the age of 16 and have been teaching ever since. I am the owner of Progressive Music in CT. I have been performing for over 20 yrs through out the USA, and abroad. Many artists have influenced me and inspired me through out the years and for this I am very grateful.
