Saline's goal is to provide a positive, high-energy atmosphere where all can enjoy music & experience the joy, hope, and love found in Jesus Christ. Saline's ministry verse is Matthew 5:13, where God calls all to be the "salt of the earth" and a city on a hill. Saline desires to encourage people to be the "salt" of the world around them by implementing their God-given gifts. Saline also wishes to set an example for believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith, & in purity (1 Timothy 4:12 ).
In the short time that Saline has been together, they have shared the stage with national recording artists Thousand Foot Krutch, Kids in the Way, Everlife, Lincoln Brewster & the Apologetix. Saline has played to festival crowds at events such as "Encounter," & Impact. In 2004, Saline was nominated & selected to perform at the first annual Pennsylvania Celebration on the Hill for the American Cancer Society at the State Capitol. Saline was accepted as one of 64 Christian artists for the 2006 season of C.A.T.S (Christian Artist Talent Search) on the national INSP cable network. Saline has also recorded, produced, & distributed two independent albums of original work. Saline's debut, Listen, was released in 2002. Early 2005 found the release of their second full length album entitled "Less of Me" featuring the songs "Back to You" and "Take". Saline's highly anticipated sophomore release was recorded, engineered & mastered at Saturation Acres Studios under the guiding hands of Bret Alexander & Paul Smith (Breaking Benjamin, The Badlees). Due in part to the overwhelming response to the release of Less of Me, Saline was ranked in the top three for all unsigned Pop bands by daily view & was simultaneously ranked in the top three for all unsigned Christian bands by daily view on the independent music site, purevolume.com. Saline continues their online dominance on audiostreet.net where the songs "Back to You" and "Take" had simultaneously held the number one and number two positions on the Spiritual Rock charts. March of 2006 marks the release of a new 3 song E.P. entitled "Carry Me."
Media buzz surrounding Saline has been fervent. Renown Magazine's editor Josh McConnell states that Saline's songs are "very well written & don't compromise quality...all of which have incredibly catchy hooks." He also adds, "the band is talented & can craft some great tunes." Brad Bowman of ChristainXtreme.com calls Saline's music "powerful" with an "infectious sound & a rock solid message." He even calls one song "an inspirational classic!" Journalist Amanda Mantone, winner of the prestigious Religion Newswriters Association Chandler Award, describes Saline as "a band growing towards a big future."
