Most, if not all tribute bands dedicate their gig sets to just one particular artist or band. This is okay if you are a fan of the artist concerned. The dbs are different, they are a tribute to an entire musical genre and attitude.
From The Undertones 'Teenage Kicks' to The Stranglers 'Peaches' and to The Buzzcocks 'Ever Fallen In Love With Someone You Shouldn't've' or the Sex Pistols 'Pretty Vacant', the dbs are a tribute to the punk, new wave and Indie movement of the late 70s and early 80s. Sometimes the band perform other rock classics such as REM's 'Losing My Religion' or The Kinks 'All Day & All Of The Night', performed in the inimitable punked up style of the dbs.

Hi. At the tail end of 2006 (Sat 30th Dec to be precise) we are putting on a very special night at Esquires, Bedford, UK... The Bowfinger Beatles Night! 4 great bands - Bowfinger, Fruition, Portion and The New Town Centres - who between them will be giving at least 12 Beatles classics their own personal makeover, as well as playing choice selections from their own repertoire. And as if that is not enough... Melting Pot DJs Monkey T and Dr Gonzo will be playing all the best in Beatles and 60s tunes. Hope you can come...
