See Photos to accompany BIOGRAPHY please CLICK on above Blog tab Slideshow: or My Photos/My Projects: SALLY EYL – actor, performer writer ++ Biography - - Educated at Chatham, Kent, SALLY EYL (1960-) started her career as an actor in 1982 at the prestigious Bernard Shaw Festival at Ayot St Lawrence, Herts in 'The Six of Calais' following a Bachelor's degree in English. ++ Actress Rosemary Dunham and jazzman Benny Green were notables at the Shaw Festival held annually. Sally trained for the theatre at Studio 68, London for a postgraduate year and was a stage manager at the Oval House Theatre, London. ++Studio 68 was noted for its Artistic Director, Robert Henderson, who studied with Louis Jouvet in Paris ++ Sally's theatre appearances included Arthur Miller's 'The Crucible', Caryl Churchill's 'Top Girls' and Pinter's 'Old Times' and in stand-up comedyshe tried out original monologues including at the Comedy Store and was a club MC. Last stand-up comedy gig in Brighton, Sussex 2002 ++ Also in 2002 gained a postgraduate cert. Creative Writing from Sussex University and since 2005, completed four one-act plays and one full length piece starting with LIMEHOUSE in which she played the co-starring role of the Counsellor and directed, it was presented at the Canal Cafe Theatre London in 2008. As a WRITER has no plans to stage other plays which she views as an apprenticeship to Screenwriting: she is also a short story writer. ++ Play precis; LIMEHOUSE was originally selected by CALDER Bookshop New Writing month - an actor sees a counsellor to get analysed out of the theatre. Compared to Ionesco's The Lesson. ++Four other plays followed: LONDON BRIDGE - an author is pursued by an unseen rival. Then two Paris-based THE STATION WAITING ROOM and THE EXPATRIATES and then in 2009, STAGE DOOR COMEDIES, a cabaret sketch play collection comprising: MC’s INTRODUCTION/ THE WHEEL OF FORTUNE/ THE LITERARY PARTY/ THE DRAMA STUDENT/ STAGE DOOR ENCOUNTER/ THE BACKSTAGE PARTY++Short story writer: STAGE DOOR STORIES a collection for publication including an adaptation of LIMEHOUSE and a selection from STAGE DOOR COMEDIES.++Screenwriting: Sally is currently developing THE REAL LIFE COACH as a one hour teleplay incorporating LIMEHOUSE. Previous professional writing experience includes a four year tenure at the Press Assocation in London.
