My singing began when I was a dot. Born in Sidcup, Kent, 1975, I spent a lot of time growing up with my grandparents who gave me a good Christian upbringing in the Salvation Army. So if I sang loud enough I was certain that Jesus would want me for a sunbeam!! I sang throughout my school years and carried ..wards in a choir called The South London Singers. When I left school, I originally became a beauty therapist and then discovered Reiki. My Reiki master and I became very close and he taught me how to write songs. I was 22 years old at this point. That’s when my life started to change. The hunger to discover this new world of creativity, music, singing and energy was my calling. After 6 years as a beauty therapist, I’d had many challenges, lots of depression caused by a lack of self honoring so, I decided to quit and follow my dreams in music. I then went to London’s Vocaltech Vocal school where I gained a Diploma in Popular Music Performance with the accolade Performer of the Year. After that, I did my so called apprenticeship as a singer in many different function and covers bands. A year later I decided to go into teaching and so I became a vocal coach and have been doing this ever since. I have attended numerous workshops with leading edge voice consultants to learn about the mechanics of the voice but am now about to embark on a whole new way of teaching, working with a holistic system called Integrative Quantum Medicine, designed by Louise Mita of Hawaii. Vocal coaching has been my profession for the last 9 years. It has provided a source of income to fund my albums. My first album was recorded in 2004 and is called The Essence of Solitude. It has a rocky crust with a soft centre! It is beautiful expression of where I was at the time. “Earth, meet Heaven!” came to fruition in October 2008 after the worst yet best year of my life. As I started to come out of my Saturn Return, and a very difficult relationship, I discovered how powerful I was. I always knew about this ‘spiritual stuff’, but these life challenges gave me the opportunity to apply them.
